Mike, get yourself down to have a go, you'd enjoy them. Maybe after a visit here for a grip comp?

Well done to all of you. I have not heard of Reuben Hughes before? Is he a member of this forum?

I am still trying to get over the fact that you all got the first one off the ground. It is such a huge weight, awkward shape and basically a pig of a thing to attempt. Plus the fact that you are all more or less human ;) as opposed to 170kg of pro strongman.

And, it looked like fun as well. :D

James,
What helps us we have strong hands and wrists.
Also remember that Nick was Britain's Strongest Man u105k

I've asked Reuben to join the forum, and think about grip comps.
He doesn't train with weights at all!
But he does work with stone all day, every day, laying dry stone walling in North Wales. So he's like a pro-stoneman

Cheers!

I enjoy these threads when they appear.

I could be locked in a room full of grippers and not have the slightest interest in trying any of them. However, I find the stone lifting stories inspiring.

Thanks for sharing the journey.
