Superb loose pinching by Elizabeth today, look below.

1. Bent a 6" nail with a 4mm steel bar taped to it, double overhand style in 30 secs.
2. Bent a 6" nail cut down to 5", double overhand style easily.
3. One Hand Pinch Lift 2 x 15k Weider discs 3" wide.
R/H D/L, D/L, all videod
4. One Hand Pinch Lift 2 x 20k Spur discs 2 3/4" wide. R/H. moved off floor. Then negatives, lowering the weight with one hand.
5. Round the Tyre 10K in tyre, 1 1/4 laps.
6. One Hand Dumbell Wrist Curl 20k R/H 12 reps, L/H 10 reps.

1. Put a 5 degree bend in a 6" nail with a 5mm steel bar taped to it to double overhand style.

1. Put a 5 degree bend in a 6" nail with a 5mm steel bar taped to it to double overhand style.
2. Put a 7 degree bend in a 6" nail with a 4mm steel bar taped to it to double underhand style.
3. Put a 18 degree bend in a 6" nail with a 4mm steel bar taped to it to reverse style.

1. 2" Bar Deadlifts (overhand grip) 90k x 8, 92.5k x 5, 100k x 2 reps.
2. Farmers Hold 70k each hand, deadlift and hold 30 secs.
3. Seated Log Press 35k 10/10 reps
4. Lat Raises 60 reps using discs
5. Gripper (strapholds - 1 1/4k on a shoelace) #1 R/H 10 secs hold. T L/H 8 secs.
Hands trashed at the end from the earlier Farmers hold and 2" bar deadlifts.

Awesome bending today - she's really learning the groove.

1. Bent fully a 6" nail with a 5mm steel bar taped to it to double overhand style in 2 mins 25 secs.
2. Bent another 5 degree bend on a 6" x Grade 5 bolt (pre bent to 20 degrees) double overhand style.
3. Bending machine 2 x 12 reps
4. Seated Alternate Dumbell Curl 2 x 13.5k D/bs 10/10 reps.
5. Seated Alternate Dumbell Hammer Curl 2 x 10k D/bs 10/10 reps.
6. Round the Tyre 10k in tyre, 1 and a bit laps.
7. Wrist Curls off end of a bench with an olympic bar 40k x 10, 60k x 1 rep.

1. Bearhug Deadlifts 63k x 5, 73k x 1, 83k x 1 rep, 93k 1" up.
2. 80k Stone Lift 10" lift.
3. Log Inclines 40k 10/10
4. Press Ups 10/5 reps
5. Climber wrist curl mch 12.5k x 30 reps
6. Ulna Flexion 30 reps each hand with 2.5k on end of a dumbell rod.

She was pleased with her bearhugs, stone lift and press ups today.

Freezing weather. Nasty to train in!

1. 2" Bar Deadlifts (overhand grip) 92.5k x 8, 95k x 6, 97.5k x 1 rep overhand and 3 reverse. Hands freezing and tired!
2. Farmers Hold - not today, too cold.
3. Seated Log Press 36k 10/10 reps
4. Lat Raises 66 reps using discs
5. Gripper (strapholds - 1 1/4k on a shoelace) R/H #1 x 11 secs hold. L/H #1 x 3 secs hold, T x 9 secs.

Another awesome bending session, she's really learning the groove.

1. Bent a Grade 5 bolt 6" x 1/4" to 90 degrees double overhand style in just over 5 mins, she just couln't finish it.
This will be done next time I think!

2. Seated Alternate Dumbell Curl 2 x 14k D/bs 10/8 reps.
3. Seated Alternate Dumbell Hammer Curl 2 x 10k D/bs 10/10 reps.
4. Round the Tyre 10k in tyre, 2 laps.

Elizabeth Horne becomes the first woman to bend a Grade 5 bolt

Elizabeth fully bent a grade 5 today, after her close attempt yesterday. It took about 10 mins, so outside the FBBC 5 min time zone. Also my phone run out of camera memory so I only have first 5 mins on video.

I think she'll do it under 5 mins next time.

2. Bent a 1/4" x 6" Hex bar double overhand style to 3 degrees. Tough!

2. Bent a 1/4" x 6" Hex bar double overhand style a bit further, from 3 to 8 degrees.

These were from Mike Hadland in the U.S. I think Elizabeth showed her best today, technically and strength wise.

4. Grippers (using 20mm block) R/H #1 X 1, SA x 1, #2 x close. L/H #1 x 1, SA x 1. Grippers only exercise that's off the boil!
5. Two Hands Pinch Lift 52.8k x 1, 62.8k x 1, 67.8k x 1 rep, 72.8k x x.
6. Seated Alternate Dumbell Curl 2 x 14 1/2k D/bs 10/10 reps.
7. Reverse Curl 20k 2 x 20 reps.

1. 2" Bar Deadlifts 95k x 8 (3 overhand + 5 reverse grip), 97.5k x 6 (2 overhand + 4 reverse grip), 100k x 4 reps (4 reverse grip). Hands freezing!
2. Seated Log Press 37.5k 10/10 reps
3. Lat Raises 72 reps using discs
4. Gripper. R/H Closed #2, then 2nd rep to 2mm. #1 hold closed for 20 secs.
L/H #1 hold closed for 13 secs.

Had a cold virus thing for a few days, so no training.

1. Bent a FBBC 1/4" x 6" double overhand style in 20 secs.
2. Bent a FBBC 1/4" x 5.5" double overhand style in 40 secs.
3. Bent a FBBC 1/4" x 5" double overhand style in 1 min 10 secs.
4. Bent a FBBC 1/4" x 4.5" double overhand style to 42 degrees.

Today's training was all dvd training.

1. Bent a FBBC 1/4" x 6" Reverse style to 56 degrees in the 30 secs.
2. Bent a 8mm x 6.5" HRS 212.5k Challenge bar Reverse style to 42 degrees, and finished DO in under 2 mins.

This was Elizabeth's first reverse style bending for a very long time. All she had done in the meantime was use the Bending Machine and bend Double Overhand. This was the first time Elizabeth had bent 8mm stock, never mind reverse it!

1. Bent a 5" IronMind Blue in 15 mins 45 secs.

This is a fantastic bend, it really is. She battled away for basically 13 mins to get the last part finished from 90 degrees. I videod it; she tried for 14 mins 15 secs, then gave up. Angry she started again after 1 min, and then finished it off in 30 secs.

She says this 5" IM Blue was harder than the 5" x 1/4" FBBC bar she bent the other day.

At the supermatch in Gloucester

Farmers Walk with 2 x 70k 'farmers' for about 30 metres with 2 turns.

Bent a 5.5" Grade 5 bolt to 60 degrees in a few minutes.

Last 2 days have been doing feats of strength for the strongwoman dvd.

Elizabeth has had a cold for a few days, so todays show of strength was even more suprising! All of todays training was videod for the future dvd.

1. Bent an IronMind blue bar in about 30 secs as a warm up.
2. Bent an 80d nail from Big Steve in about 30 secs.
3. Bent a Grade 5 bolt to 80 degrees really quick and then just couldn't get past that angle today.
4. Bent 2 x 6" Nails taped together to 90 degrees and once again frustratingly couldn't finish it off. Although this was her best bend on these to date.
5. One Hand Pinch Lift 2 x 15k discs (2 3/4" wide) R/H easily.
6. One Hand Pinch Lift 4 x 5k discs twice, and then passed them round the body nearly twice. She tried 5 x 5k discs, but not today.
7. 45lb disc Hub Lift.
8. Two hand lift 2 x 20k discs, and then pass them back and forth/take other hand off, from right to left hand a few times.
9. Bend a few beer bottle caps between index finger and thumb. Then between index and middle fingers using adduction strength.
10. One Hand Deadlift 2.5" thick dumbell 58k R/H.
11. Grippers #3 to 18-20mm. #2 to a mm apart.
12. Lafayette Hand Dynamometer R/H 60k, L/H 55k.
13. One Hand Table Top Curls 27.5k R/H 2 reps, L/H 2 reps. 22.5k R/H 7 reps, L/H 7 reps.
14. Lot of armwrestling using bicycle innertubes as the tension.

Quite a session, and with all the filming and talking, was a good few hours work.

Back on track, after her cold.

1. Grippers, tried to Table No Set a RB 210 Gripper, and got it to 4mm - next time hopefully.
2. 80k round Stone lift to chest height 3 times.
3. Log Lift from floor to overhead 45k x 5 reps, 55k x nearly, just couldn't lock her arms.
4. Grippers, normal set RB 210 x 5 reps.
5. Farmers Deadlift (low handles), reps in 75 secs. 2 x 50k x 16 reps.
6. One Arm Tri Pushdowns. lots of reps.
7. Crucifix 2 x 5k hold for 38 secs
8. Lat Raises lots of reps, drop sets.

A lot of filming was done today at the top of an old castle for her forthcoming dvd.

Anyway, one of the things she did up there, was bend 2 x 6" nails taped together in about 1 min 30 secs. Her best yet!

Elizabeth just keeps supprising me with world class feats nearly every training session now. I believe she's probably at her strongest ever now on a wide variety of events/exercises. Today she sent off her entrance fee for a strongwoman comp in May, and of course she's also in the Grip champs in May. Plenty to look forward to!

Anyway, todays training was;

1. Rolled up 2 Frying Pans together in the car park at B&Q retail park.
2. Bent a Triangle head Grade 5 bolt x 6" in 11 mins 16 secs.
3. One Hand Lift L/H 207.5k and R/H 207.5k. Biggest ever.

All these were recorded for the dvd. In fact we used the bent Grade 5 bolt as the carabineer on the One Hand Lift.

She's done quite a bit recently, mostly for the dvd, which included a Grade 5 x 6" bent in 3min 51secs. Video will be sent to John Beatty. She also put a small bend (2mm) into a Grade 8 bolt.

I've seen many strength feats in my life, but I saw an extraordinary display of strength, endurance and guts today from Elizabeth. I know she's my wife, but believe me it was amazing!

1. Chain snapping
2. Twisted 3 x 6" nails into a link.
3. Telephone book tearing
4. Bent a 4 foot long x 1 1/2" x 1/4" bar

And Finally...
5. One Hand Lift 140k (308lb) x 163 reps in 7 mins 50 secs!!

For a total poundage lifted by one hand of 50,308 lb in 7 min 50 secs.

All this was filmed, as with most of her sessions for the future strength dvd, or if you can't wait the clips are on her site.

We are still training really hard, 7 days a week. We won't be posting any training logs during the competition season.
